I know you do, but I can think of reasons not to - a reply can come off snarky if we're responding to a 1 star patootey. It gets a little embarrassing when i see writers defend their work and get all huffy. More often than not, readers never consider reaching out in the first place. It's a shame, because I love getting emails from fans. I respond to every one (and treasure the encouragement and feedback).<br /><br />Writing is such a solitary endeavor. Having readers join us for the ride is refreshing.
