New Band Name - Bottoms Up!

I'm in a 80s cover band called Perry & Martin Project. We're an acoustic group, and I lead sing most of the songs, though we have a female lead who plays keys. And we also tapped a lead guitar player so the Martin side of things could do more rhythm. I barely strum, lol.

Anyway, since our group isn't really just Perry and Martin anymore, we decided to change our name. And we revealed that name tonight at a very successful gig we had at a local restaurant. (Successful because we were invited back!)

We're now "Bottoms Up!"

I like it. One other reason we changed the name. I'll be leaving the band later this summer. Yep, if you haven't heard by now, we're moving to Puerto Rico and it's kinda hard to play gigs in Kansas remotely.

So here's to new beginnings. Cheers and bottoms up!

The Band is Back in Town

A few years ago I was in a band called 4 Guys With Jobs. Fun cover band. 70s/80s pop and rock classics. We broke up as bands often do, but we got back together as bands sometimes do.

Why are we back together when I said I was done playing guitar and singing songs past midnight, getting home at 2 in the morning, then getting up at the crack of dawn for another day?

Because we have a New Year's Eve gig! And why not? It's going to be at the Eagle's Aerie in Newton, KS, this Friday, Jan 31, from 8:30 to midnight. No cover charge, so if you are in the area, come on down.

Oh, and it's a pajama party! Well, I for one will not be wearing pajamas, lol. The dress up party is not required. But good times are. See you then!
