Young Adult Fiction Book Give-Away

I'm giving away two copies!

Want a light and easy Summer read? Then you might like Melody Carlson's latest book in her series, "Notes from a Spinning Planet - Mexico." (Available to the public August 21, 2007 from WaterBrook Press, a division of Random House. But if you enter my drawing, you may be reading your own advance copy by August 1st!)

Through the eyes of twenty-year-old Maddie Chase, the author has already taken her young adult fans to Ireland and Papua New Guinea; and now Cabo San Lucas beckons. This first-person travelogue/diary adventure works pretty well to cover some relational and moral issues (without being heavy handed) by interspersing a bit of conflict, romance and mystery into this vacation story. Like I said, a nice, fast-paced read, great for wrapping up the Summer at the beach or pool.

How do you win your free copy? Here are my rules (hey, my postage, my contest :-)

1. If you're a U.S. blogger, comment below (only once) between now (July 22) and next Sunday evening, July 29th. Make sure I have your email address and website. I'll confirm your entry with an email. I'll mail the book to the winners on July 30th.

2. You must be willing to read the book by August 20th (it'll only take a couple of sittings to read these 225 pages, trust me), write a short review on your blog and then post it during author Melody Carlson's blog tour, August 20-24.

3. This is not a random drawing. I'll choose my two favorite entrants. So take a moment and tell me why you want to read and review this book. Link love may help. :-)

Here's the Scoop: A rep from WaterBrook Press and Multnomah Books gave me the three books in the "Notes From a Spinning Planet" series as well as two give-away copies of "Mexico" on the condition that I review the series on my blog during Melody Carlson's blog tour, August 20 - 24, 2007. I'm asking the same. If you want a free copy of "Mexico," please commit to read it and review it. Thanks.

  2. I am a homeschooling Mom of seven and I love to read, as does my dh. There are three other readers in our home as well at the current time and another one of the children is learning to read.
